Railway Electrification Bureau (Group) Co.,Ltd. (hereafter called
EEB) is developed from China Railway Electrification Engineering
Bureau, which emerged as the first electrification railway required.
In the nearly half century's development, several generations of
EEB have contributed substantially to the electrification railway
of China. Now EEB has developed into a technology-intensive enterprise
combining research, design, construction, manufacturing, project
consultation, construction inspection, operation & maintenance,
telecommunication research, material supply, real estate development
etc. and contracted the design, construction and maintenance management
concerning railway electrification, power supply and distribution,
communication, signal, housing, civil, city metro, light rail. Today
EEB is hailed as"the main force", "the national team"and
becomes the leading in the domestic electrification industry. The
history of EEB is the history of China electrification railway.
It's the initial stage of EEB from 1958 to 1960. During the stage, EEB electrified the Baoji-Fengzhou railway line, the first electrified railway of China.
It's the difficult stage of EEB from 1961 to 1977. EEB completed the electrification alteration of Fengzhou-Chengdu railway, Xiang-Yu railway and Yang-an railway line in this stage.
Since the 3rd plenary session of the 11th CPC congress turned the key emphasis of work to socialist economic development in December 1978, EEB has gone into a new time.
In 22 years from 1978 to 2000, EEB has designed and completed 34
electrified railway lines as the following: Shi-Tai, Ying-Xia, Da-Qin,
Lan-Xin, Guang-Shen, Nan-Kun, Jing-Guang and etc. opening 11481
km electrified railways which is twelve times more than in twenty
years before. In this period, EEB has made many "firsts"
in the building of electrified railways in China as the first electrified
railway of Jing-Qin Line powered by means of AT, the first double-line
electrified railway of Shi-Tai Line, the first electrified railway
of heavy-load of Da-Qin Line, the first electrified railway in the
mountain with the technology of the 90th - Nan-Kun Line, the first
high reliability and low maintenance electrified railway of Bao-Zhong
Line, the first 200 km/hr electried railway of Guang-Shen Line.
All the projects are up to standard and 90% of them are very excellent.
EEB has won numberless awards and honors for its excellent design
and construction quality. In the field of city metro, EEB has obtained
a great achievement and completed the city metro and rail traffic
project of Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Chongqing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen,
Nanjing, Dalian. At the same time, EEB has executed the strategy
of Going Overseas and made a number of breakthroughs such as overhead
line of Kowloon railway, the traction power and overhead line of
Kseung Kwan O extension and the west railway of Hong Kong, the suburb
railway from Tehran to Karaj, Iran.
In the 21st century, EEB entered into the best time of development. China Railway Electrification Bureau Group Corporation Ltd. was reformed from China Railway Electrification Engineering Bureau on August 8, 2001. In November 2004, Xi'an Railway Engineering Group was combined with EEB. So far EEB became an integrated professional corporation with 9 holding subsidiary companies, 9 branch offices, and 3 sole subsidiary, with the special-class qualification of railway construction contract and 10 items of general contract qualification of railway, highway, municipal, housing, electromechanical installation, communication etc. and 40 items of professional qualification of contract. EEB contracted the reform project of 200 million tons electrified railway of Da-Qin Line and the reform of Jing-Hu Line , and this is the opening of the general contract. By the end of 2003, the total length of electrified railway of China has reached 20,000km, and EEB completed 16,000km, 80% of the total. With the quality of engineering improved steadily, EEB has won a great many prizes. Meanwhile EEB has taken part into the Beijing Olympic Extension metro and the Capital airport line in the way of BT and BOT.
As the technology research power is growing, EEB has gained the title of the high-technology corporation in Beijing, and EEB has independently completed a lot of high-level scientific research and made a series of electrified railway standards of China. At the end of 2003, EEB has won many prizes including the national prizes and the prizes of the Railway Ministry. The manufacturing system of EEB has developed rapidly. Having the international leading and the largest-scale industry base of the research and development of overhead line spare parts, the manufacture and supply of all materials, equipments and construction machine, EEB has become the main force of the industry of China.
Furthermore, EEB has established the real estate company and has developed the projects of Zhuangyuan City and Zhongjing-Reality Home in Beijing and Chinese Box in the city of Shijiazhuang. Now EEB is running in the express of expanding the scale and increase the benefits.
Recalling the outstanding time, there is a great ambition in heart. EEB is very confident to service the needs of national and overseas customers and contribute more power to the development of railway and the establishment of wealthy society in all direction. |
